Deus Ex: The Fall gets a launch trailer, available now

With reviews ranging from the 80s to the 50s, a proper, uncompromising Deus Ex game is out on the iPad and iOS devices, proving that the format can handle serious gaming. It costs $6.99/£4.99/€5.99 on the store, and requires an iPad 3, iPhone 4GS and iPod Touch 5 or higher to run.

A new Deus Ex game, moving away from PC and consoles was announced yesterday, today we get a video. Its mostly the developers chatting about their efforts, but there's a few bits of in-game action, showing off the interface and graphic fidelity, and the all-important control system.

If this sells well, you can imagine the other major developers wondering what other series they can finally through at tablets.

Deus Ex: The Fall brings a classic RPG series to iPad

The Deus Ex games are some of the most loved PC titles ever, certainly the first one was a truly modern RPG that's up there with System Shock. Deus Ex: The Fall is will cost around £5 and is coming to the iPad soon, taking the design and action from the previous episode, Human Revolution, and the recent icarus Effect novel.

 
The Fall puts you in the boots of an ex-SAS type, Ben Saxon who has been betrayed by his previous bosses. Jacked up to the eyeballs with augments, the game looks pretty much like its recent incarnations and as long as the controls remain cohesive, should be great fun to play.
