Free-to-play with micro transactions (up to $99 of credit for insane gamers), it is a 640MB download with visits to lots of familiar places in the Star Wars galaxy, as you create a new hero to take on the Empire.

Lara Croft Go gives a twist to the usual Tomb Raider action adventure, with turn-based puzzle gameplay. As Lara, you take on a new adventure set in a long-forgotten world.
You get to explore the ruins of an ancient civilization, discover its hidden secrets and face many deadly challenges while uncovering the myth of the Queen of Venom. It features challenging gameplay, gorgeous visuals and a mesmerizing soundtrack, all at your fingertips, the game is out on 27 August for $4.99.
The company's previous mobile game Hitman Go, was a big hit earlier in the year.
Purist fans of the flashy hedgehog might be a bit upset by this, but Sonic has joined the endless army of endless runner games with another free to play, DLC-laden offering. Going back to the look of the MegaDrive/Genesis original, its a least bit more pacey than the lame Sonic Dash effort. All you have to do is tap to jump to keep Sonic or his racing pals safe.
It comes with competitive play modes; “Rival League”, “Friend,” “World,” and “Historical.” leaderboards. The game features Sonic and his friends packing all sorts of bonuses like speed, gem collection, and more as they race their way to the top.
Sonic fans can look forward to special missions, new characters and buddies, in-game events and more content to follow. Unfortunately the game treats all players like four year olds, and there's none of the fun level design of early Sonic.
While the larger formats await Fallout 4, iPhone and iPad gamers can play Fallout Shelter from Bethesda as a neat diversion in the run up to launch. Yes, it borrows heavily from NimbleBit's Tiny Tower, and the indie is probably a bit annoyed that Bethesda didn't ask them to do it.

Role player combat game, Marvel Future Fight is out now on iOS, courtesy of South Korean developer Netmarble. UPDATE: The game has just passed 10 million downloads in two weeks, over 100 countries. While it hasn't hit No. 1 in any major territories, that shows the power of the Marvel brand.

Dug up some in-progress gameplay action... looks like Netmarble hasn't spent too much on the character design or backgrounds, but it could still be a decent RPG, any one taking bets on how much micro-transaction hell will be involved?
Final Fantasy Mevius is an all-new adventure in the legendary RPG realm, but without the aged pixels and more of a modern, battle-heavy look to it. Hopefully its a proper adventure and not some free to play grinding exercise, but I doubt it knowing Square Enix.
No news of a western release, but Square has trademarked the Mevius term in Europe, and these things usually head our way, eventually. While its a phone-focused game should still look great on the iPad.
Successfully Kickstarted strategic soccer game Striker Arena is now out on iOS for iPad and iPhone. Somewhere between Speedball and the Total War series lies a game of sport and tactics. The iPad version has the advantage of allowing two players to play on the same screen.
In Striker Arena, you control a team with the simple objective of scoring goals. Things are livened up by special abilities on the field that can be picked up to punch, blast, and destroy whoever gets in your way! Another indie team formed from the ashes of UK dev legends Rare is out there doing it for themselves. Squarehead's first effort is now live on the app store with the impressive retro-modern Star Drift. Levels are procedurally generated to keep things fresh with a David Wise soundtrack.
It brings to mind Flow, Gravity Crash and a few others in this quick peek. There's a unique upgrade system to help you along, with various powers, upgrades and some virus-laden tokens to avoid. Star Drift is only a 70Mb download for iOS 7 devices. It is optimised for iPhone 5 and up. The game is just 79p on the store during its launch window.
The One Piece Pirate Warrior games are a staple for Japanese anime-loving console fans and are picking up an audience in the west with Pirate Warriors 3 out soon. For mobile gamers, One Piece Treasure Cruise puts Luffy and the Straw Hat crew through their RPG paces with a fun tap-battle mechanic.
Players put together their own pirate crew, and level up to face off against powerful bosses across a unique One Piece story, on the hunt for Gold Roger's treasure. It claims highly strategic battles, great visuals and user-friendly controls. The Treasure Cruise game is only 20MB (with some post-install downloads to add to that) and comes with a huge array of in-app purchases for the rainbow gem packs (up to $65) to keep playing.
Anyone remember Battle Isle? This isn't that game, but seems to have a common ancestry. Flaregames is bringing its strategy free-to-play game Agents of Storm to the App Store on Thursday, October 23rd. It offers many hours of engaging gameplay along with a gripping storyline. Is this the game that will get phone and tablet players splashing out on the extra controller needed to play full-fidelity titles? It seems odd, but the main thrust of the early reviews I've seen all recommend that players get a controller for their iPad or iPhone, clearly meaning this isn't a good touchscreen gaming candidate.
Sure, the graphics have been spruced up a bit, but it isn't a lot cheaper than the original PSP console and game, rather thank forking out £10/$19 for the iOS edition and up to $80-100 for a controller? I guess the market will soon tell, and given that millions of smartphone owners don't even know what a PSP is, the take-up should all be on the modern platforms.
It sounds like some street slang, but Boom Tanks is actually a heavy armour game thats probably a little bit less serious than World of Tanks on the PC. Used to love NovaLogic's tank games years ago, hopefully this has the same immediate pick up and play. With cool paint jobs, lots of decent recreations of tanks historic and modern, it could be a lot of fun, try the free game now.
Naturally, it is plagued with in-app purchase opportunities, and a rather clunky arcade aim and fire mode. Scratch any concept of this being a proper tank game.
Is this the tipping point for mobile gaming? A full Call of Duty game of our very own, with tactical and FPS action, it seems too good to be true. Be careful though, it is ONLY compatible with and optimized for iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad mini, iPad 2, iPad (3rd and 4th generation), and iPod touch (5th generation).
The games costs £4.99 and is 1.3 GB in size. Not sure what the controls are like yet, downloading and will update. Wonder if this is the game that Apple will pick to show off at its upcoming iPhone 5S/5C launch? Look out for the in-app extras though, supposed to be about £70 worth, which kinda takes the shine off things, but they are optional purchases.
