Raiden Legacy out now on iOS

Yep, £2.99 gets you four great Raiden shmups, in my case the original has followed me across arcade, 8-bit consoles, my Jaguar and other formats. I'll love it forever with its tough but not merciless gameplay and perfect pacing. Never really seen the other three versions, but hope they're just as engrossing.

Downloading now, will update to see how it plays with touch controls, that's if you don't have one of those swanky iOS arcade boxes to play it in. 

Raiden Legacy hitting iOS in two weeks

A visual update on the game's Facebook page shows we'll getting some gorgeous old-school Raiden shooter action in just a couple of weeks. Developed by dotemu, there's been no screens or video of the game, but it will offer four classic shooters in one awesome package:

Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet.
