Brothers in Arms 3 sends its Sons of War into battle

Harking back to a host of 1990s PC games, including the early Call of Duties, Sudden Strike by CDV, and the more recent Sniper Elite, Gameloft keeps flogging the Brothers in Arms name to try and tag along with the fading FPS genre.

Trouble is, apart for the flame effects, it looks like a 90s game, based on this hotch potch of a trailer. Hopefully Sons of War will provide enough action for us not to notice the ageing graphics too much.

Borderlands Legends for iOS out now with a top trailer

Take 2 has just put a video of the Borderlands game coming to the iPad just in time for Halloween, looks like a right blast in the style of a squad-based Killzone Liberation that came out for Sony's PSP. It is out now on the App Store for £4.99 ($6.99) in HD.

A Borderlands game is coming to the iPad and iPhone

2K Games has let slip an advert showing off an iOS version of Borderlands, not quite the full experience, but still a tantalising take on the series. Borderlands Legends has the Gearbox name stamped on it, and offers the game's favourite characters, a huge arsenal weapons and 36 powers. Fight through random missions and an "endless" mode called Fight for your Life. The ad leads to 2K's mobile site which hasn't been updated yet.

Hopefully it will have bags of humour and style too. PS Vita users will be hoping that someone has taken up Gearbox's offer of farming out development of a proper version.
